Judicial Review Cases

Representation and Advocacy in Judicial Review Challenges

In a Criminal Case you might consider that a Judge has made a serious error and want to challenge it . This can also arise in decision making of Tribunals for example the Parole Board where you may want to challenge the decision .

In such cases provided your avenues of appeal have been fully used then you can consider an application for judicial review .

Generally where there have been procedural errors which may make the decision unlawful or the decision making has been irrational then a remedy may arise .

If successful the usual outcome is ot quash the decision and send it back for redetermination although this is not always the outcome .

Public Funding is available for this work or we can pursue judicial review on a privately funded basis .

There is usually a 3 month deadline from the date the decision was made for you to make an application so prompt action is essential .
