On 20 February 2023, the government announced new measures to protect victims of domestic abuse including a pilot of domestic abuse protection notices (DAPNs) and domestic abuse protection orders (DAPOs) introduced by the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 . These strengthen the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS), often known as Clare’s Law, and extending the Ask for ANI (Action Needed Immediately) scheme.
